Fabriano nurtures the tradition of creating the finest paper for 752 years. The company’s beginnings trace back to the distant year 1264, at a time when the most famous artists used Fabriano art papers. One of them is Michelangelo Buonarotti, who praised Fabriano products and wrote (and drew) an unparalleled part of human history on them.
Fabriano not only one of the oldest brands in the world, but also the founder of many modern production processes in the paper industry, such as watermark technology, hammered paper, or the technology for using gelatin in paper glazing.
In 2002, Fabriano became part of the Fedrigoni Group which marks a new milestone in the modernization of production, new investments, and the use of renewable energy sources.
With six production facilities, a wide range of products spanning from ordinary paper and paper stationery to the broadest assortment of artistic papers. Fabriano is today the most prominent European manufacturer in the industry.
